The Communications Program Manager leads and oversees the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance (SEEA) internal and organizational marketing and communications activities, including the website, newsletters and publications, branding and other public image activities such as drafting speeches and talking points. The Communications Program Manager will coordinate media contacts and work on communications campaigns and other media and communication related events. The Communications Program Manager also develops and adheres to communications team budget while working with SEEA senior management to identify and secure outside funding for communications initiatives, and directs all aspects of specific marketing and communications initiatives as assigned by senior management. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or related field Minimum 6 years of experience in communications, public relations, and media relations Experience planning and executing strategic communications campaigns Supervisory experience Superior writing and editing skills; knowledge of AP style Good public speaking skills with the ability to make presentations and lead team/external meetings Good interpersonal skills Experience developing and overseeing budgets Team player Ability to work on a number of projects and meet deadlines Enthusiasm for advocacy and issue-oriented communications Position is located in Atlanta, GA
