Job Description: 

CET provides training for individuals in the field of energy efficiency and green building. The position designs and develops course materials and educational experiences for training courses teaching energy conservation and building weatherization skills and knowledge. Demonstrates and utilizes effective needs analysis, project management, course development, evaluation, and adult education skills.

Responsibilities:

* Contribute to curriculum design and course design
* Develop new instructor-led skills based courses and course modules
* Maintain existing course materials
* Improve/modify existing courses based on instructor and student feedback
* Develop and test hands-on activities as necessary
* Develop formative and summative evaluations
* Produce, or work with graphic artist to produce, diagrams and visual aids for courses
* Provide technical support to instructors and students, as needed
* Ensure that all information is consistent, easy to understand, and well organized
* Proofread and edit own work and work of others to improve quality, readability, consistency, and effectiveness of course materials
* Quickly learn manual skills and technical information

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Science, Engineering, or related subject and/or 3 years of related experience developing course materials including demonstrated familiarity with instructional design and courseware development principles
* 3 years of training with demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles
* Working knowledge and experience of Microsoft operating system, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and graphics software
* Excellent written communication skills with strong editing and proofreading skills as well as high attention to details
* Extremely organized and self-motivated
* Strong commitment to the environment and energy conservation
* Ability to work independently and on a cross-functional team
* Ability to understand and communicate concepts quickly and accurately
* Ability to prioritize, schedule, and meet deadlines

* Building science knowledge
* Air sealing installer/crew leader experience
* Insulation installer/crew leader experience
* Building performance auditing and testing
* HERS Rater Certification/BPI certification
* HVAC knowledge/experience
* Energy auditor experience
* Combustion safety experience
* Construction/Carpentry/Building Trades experience/training
* Physical Science/Engineering background

This is a temporary full-time salaried position through September 2010 with the potential of becoming permanent. The position is located in Florence, MA. CET is an equal opportunity employer.
