Job Description: 

The Student Conservation Association (SCA), the nation's leading conservation service organization for young people, is seeking a Program Coordinator for SCA's Conservation Corps Native Plant Program located in Boise, ID or Seattle, WA.

Primary Responsibilities:
The Program Coordinator will assist the Program Manager & Program Director with the oversight of all operational and administrative aspects of the program at various sites throughout the country. Duties include: program development and implementation, training, intern selection, evaluation, reporting, risk assessment and management, budget management, and logistical coordination. The Program Coordinator will provide support and assistance to field staff on outreach projects, environmental education, equipment management, intern management, incident response, conflict resolution, and agency relations.

Qualifications:

* BA/BS in Botany, Ecology, Environmental Education/Science, Natural Resource Management, or related field; or equivalent field experience preferred
* Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible outdoor program/project management experience
* Strong outdoor leadership and supervisory experience
* Current WFR and CPR certification
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Experience with Microsoft Office
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to work effectively in a face paced environment
* Proven organizational skills, time management, and public speaking skills
* Field experience with horticulture, botany, or ecology; GIS & GPS familiarity; database management; or S212 chainsaw certification a plus
* Have a working knowledge of safely operating power and hand tools
* Willingness to travel by air on a regular basis regionally and nationally
* Valid driver's license and MVR that meets SCA's guidelines
* Must pass SCA criminal background check.
