Overview: Our Buildings Engineering group specializes in the design and development processes unique to buildings and facilities. Our Sacramento office is looking for a Principal Profit Center Leader, PCPL for our Buildings Engineering practice area. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and suceeding in the attainment of the profit center's growth and performance objectives. Has a strong understanding of the overall project development and design process; has extensive project management experience and strong leadership skills. Responsibilities:
• Performs project management duties on major engineering projects including client and subconsultant coordination; makes presentations to city council and boards when necessary; attends client meetings; visits job sites • Prepares job proposals and attends proposal interviews • Performs marketing of clients, negotiating with client and/or on behalf of client, etc • Increase backlog by 10% in their profit center • Responsible for technical excellence in their profit center • Conducts performance appraisals; assists in the hiring of staff; and is responsible for staff development and disciplinary actions
Qualifications: • 10 years of senior level project management experience; including ability to organize and supervise work of other engineers, designers and draftsmen • LEED Accreditation preferred • Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred. Can accept Civil or Mechanical Engineering degrees. • Valid Professional Engineer Registration or ability to obtain one within the first year of employment • Strong ability to develop business and promote business relationships • Excellent organization, coordination, managerial and "people" skills • Excellent technical writing skills; capable of writing reports, letters and technical specifications • Excellent verbal communication skills • Possess valid drivers license
