We collaborate on developing innovative solutions for complex projects in the areas of advanced water and wastewater process design, water supply, conveyance, pumping, and storage.



Responsibilities:

 

The Environmental Infrastructure group in Calgary is seeking a Senior Municipal Engineer - Project Manager.  The successful candidate will draw upon their technical skills and experience to plan, design, manage and coordinate water and wastewater projects.

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Design, project management and coordination of water/wastewater systems.
  • Overall coordination of interdisciplinary project design teams.
  • Preparation of engineering services proposals and project implementation planning.
  • Water/Wastewater process design
  • Water/Wastewater facilities planning and design
  • Writing reports and design briefs.
  • Liaise with clients and other stakeholders at a senior level.
  • New business development.
  • Take client ownership responsibilities on a regional and international basis.
  • Prepare construction specifications and tender documents.
  • Mentoring and developing junior and intermediate engineers and technologists.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in a related engineering discipline from an accredited university.
  • Registered with APEGGA as a Professional Engineer
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in the design, construction and project management of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Experience in managing diverse groups of professionals.
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting deadlines and projects.
  • Has demonstrated an empowering, decisive leadership style.
  • Although not required, PMP certification is considered an asset.
