The Associate Director of Communications is responsible for developing and implementing communications strategies to advance the objectives of the organization's conservation campaigns. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented, high energy professional who is interested in making a difference in the field of conservation. The Associate Director reports to the Communications Director. This position is based in Washington, DC. DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES: * Conceive, develop and implement communications plans for American Rivers conservation campaigns. QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years in communications, media relations or similar experience, preferably in conservation, advocacy, or political campaigns. SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits include health, dental, and life insurance, retirement plan, and generous leave benefits.
