Job Description: 

The Senior Chapters Manager is a critical position for Net Impact's growth and success, with high potential for strategic leadership, team management, program development, and professional development. Following rapid growth of the global chapter network, averaging more than 20% annually since 2004, Net Impact is poised for impressive expansion into a vast global network by 2012. We are seeking an experienced senior manager to lead the Net Impact Chapters Team and our organization to the next level, and we will be growing the Chapters Team from 2 to 4-5 FTE to support this important priority. This newly expanded role will involve a unique combination of strategy and product development and managing operations and execution. The Senior Chapters Manager will be responsible for significant expansion of the global chapter network, as well as increasing quality and depth of services to Net Impact chapter leaders. The Senior Chapters Manager will report to the Deputy Director, manage 3-4 team members, and work closely with many key Net Impact team members, including the Executive Director and Board Members, as well as Membership, Impact Programs, and Marketing & Communications teams.

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Chapters Manager include the following:

* Own pivotal strategic growth priorities for Net Impact, including international, professional, and undergraduate expansion, playing a critical role in taking the organization to the next level in member experience and global visibility
* Improve the quality of the chapter network and member experience, including:
o Identify, design and execute initiatives and programs to support our outstanding network of hundreds of chapter leaders
o Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members to actively support chapter leaders through frequent communications, calls and webinars
o Research, develop and implement scalable systems and processes to support the rapidly growing chapter network
o Contribute to development and growth of new and existing programs to enable members to impact their workplace, campus or community (current examples: Impact at Work, Curriculum Change, Service Corps, Board Fellows, Campus Greening)
* Serve as Net Impact's in-house expert on our chapter network, including chapter goals, accomplishments, and impact stories, utilizing this information to inform our overall strategy and fundraising opportunities
* Develop and implement regional strategies for greater chapter collaboration and impact
* Develop and execute an international chapter growth strategy, including leadership of the Net Impact Global Fellows working on-the-ground in current priority regions (U.K., Europe, India, China)
* Establish and manage strategic chapter partnerships that contribute to network growth and programmatic enhancement
* Represent Net Impact externally, speaking at both chapter events and other events
* Contribute to development of effective communications strategies, messaging, content and marketing collateral for chapters, working closely with the Marketing & Communications team
* Oversee chapter operations, data analysis, metrics, and surveys to ensure outstanding chapter quality and data-driven decision making
* Contribute to Net Impact's broader strategy and achievements as a valued senior member of our team

Required Qualifications

* Minimum of 5-7 years relevant work experience, at least 3 years in a management position
* Passionate and articulate representative of Net Impact, our chapter network and our mission
* Sharp strategic thinker with proven strategy and product development experience
* Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
* Skilled at coordinating a wide range of projects, advanced project management, and supervising multiple staff members
* Enthusiasm for optimizing processes and systems
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including writing skills
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and creatively
* Flexibility and a sense of humor
* Experience with chapter-based organizations and/or Net Impact chapter experience a plus
* MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred
