| Job Description: |
Implements technical and design updates to all OTAs websites and increases visibility of all OTA websites and on-line products through E-marketing and search engine optimization.
Functions as a creative member of OTA's Integrated Communication, Marketing and Public Relations and IT team; shares information effectively to assist others in doing OTA's work. Builds positive and strong relationships with other OTA staff. Demonstrates personal responsibility in job performance.
Functions: 1. Implements new technical upgrades to OTA's websites. Collaborates with OTA IT staff and outside contractors as assigned. CSS upgrades, navigation changes, additions of visual content and major platform changes. 2. Develops and implements visual, multi-media content to OTA's web presence including photo and video libraries. 3. Implements other Web 2.0 tools as identified and approved. 4. Improves visibility of OTA websites with target audience through on-going search engine optimization of OTA's six websites. 5. Improves visibility of OTA's products and services available online including shopping cart and calendar upgrade and searchable content. 6. Works as a creative member of OTA teams assigned to website upgrades. 7. Tracks and reports on key web analytics. 8. Designs and executes OTA's e-blasts. 9. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Computer Skills: Demonstrated experience in XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, Flash, Photoshop, and Content Management Systems preferably Drupal and Joomla and programming best practices.
Familiarity with SQL databases and MS Access. PHP or other programming languages helpful.
Demonstrated experience gathering requirements from users, scoping and planning development projects and setting and meeting project deadlines and performing usability testing.
Other: Strong written and verbal communications skills. Attention to detail and quality control. Commitment to accuracy. Good investigative skills. Ability to work on multiple projects at any given time and to meet critical deadlines. Self-starter who can work independently with good judgment, as well as be part of a collaborative team. Passion for new technologies.
