The Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance is a collaborative network whose purpose is to advance energy efficiency in the Midwest in order to support sustainable economic development and environmental preservation. Our goal is to provide a collective voice at a national and regional level; act as a clearinghouse to identify, evaluate and create successful programs and market assessments for the region; and foster communication on effective energy policy. MEEA seeks an exceptional candidate to fill an open position for a Full-Time Office Associate. The Office Associate will be expected to accomplish the following objectives: - Coordinating and providing administrative support for EEA's Annual Conference and other events (35%) - Provide administrative support to MEEA's staff, Board and membership including preparing for and attending Board meetings, scheduling staff meetings, preparing for and attending special events, handling incoming and outgoing office correspondence, updating website and database, and other duties as assigned (30%) - Maintain office facilities including kitchen and storage room and ordering office supplies (10%) - Basic accounting entries (10%) - Database entries and maintenance (5%) - Coordinate travel, maintain the schedule, handle incoming and outgoing correspondence and provide additional administrative support for MEEA's Executive Director (5%) - Reception duties including answering multi-line phone (5%) PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate will be expected to have the following qualifications: - Undergraduate degree preferred. - Minimum of 3 years experience as an administrative assistant - Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Outlook, Excel. - Learns new software and web-based applications quickly - Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and effectively manage large workloads. - Experience working in the not-for-profit community - Sunny disposition and ability to maintain composure and professionalism while working with staff and Board of Directors COMPENSATION The compensation for this position will be commensurate with experience.
