Urban Solutions is looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented Green Business Auditor who will support the Green Business Program Manager in conducting green audits for small and medium sized businesses. Our Green Business program educates and assists Bay Area businesses on why and how to "green" their businesses. The Green Business Auditor will develop the program's client base, conduct site visits of local businesses and create customized financial and environmental reports for clients. He/she will work both collaboratively and independently, and will provide direct client services. * This position will be funded through the JOBS NOW program. See below for requirements. Responsibilities include: * Conduct site visits, follow-up research, and create detailed report of recommendations for clients. Required Skills: * Experience conducting audits in one or more areas: energy efficiency, water conservation, waste diversion, toxics reduction, green purchasing Additional Desired Skills: * Interest in and familiarity with sustainable business practices and "greening" the local economy JOBS NOW REQUIREMENTS This position will be funded through the Jobs Now program. This government funded program puts underemployed and unemployed parents into good jobs, and pays the employers the cost of their wages through September 30, 2010. If you are working or were recently working, and your income in the past month was less than 200% of the federal poverty level, you are eligible.
