We are searcing for a highly motivated Project Controls Manager in the Los Angeles area.



Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and manages project controls.  Must be able to provide client with concise data to enable them to make timely effective decisions. Manages, integrates, coordinates and review the work of the Project Controls group to develop, implement, feed, reconcile, and maintain valuable program control databases and reports. Manage and ensure the reconciliation of program controls data with financial systems, coordinating with Support Services and IT Department. Coordinate and provide leadership to local Project Managers and Directors to establish and maintain data coding structures, project control tools, and quality data for budgets, contracts, change orders, trends and actual costs. Develop, implement and maintain a management reporting data warehouse to produce valuable program controls reports and data.  Attract, recruit, and retain a project controls team.



Qualifications:
  • 10 to 20 years experience as a Project Controls Manager on major rail and transit projects.
  • Minimum 15 years experience in project controls work, including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, schedule control, and project reports.
  • Must be an expert in the use of P6, P3, P3 e/c and earned value techniques.
  • B.S. in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • PE preferred. Minimum degree in engineering, business, construction management or related field with a master's degree in business administration or construction management strongly preferred.  
  • Must be able to train, mentor and influence staff in a positve way. 
  • Must have great communication and client service skills.
