Overview: Our Environmental Management practice is dedicated to managing environmental issues professionally and proactively. Providing a diverse range of services, we draw upon a deep well of scientific knowledge in the areas of air, water, soil, and ecology, enabling our clients to identify and respond to opportunities and threats within constantly changing regulatory and corporate environments. Our team members have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects, which extend from developing initial project concepts and environmental approvals to design, design support during construction, and monitoring. Endangered species monitoring, environmental permitting, stream restoration, wetland restoration/creation, mitigation permitting/design/monitoring, and watershed management/planning are just a few of the projects where we need talented people like you.
Responsibilities: Our Columbus, OH office has an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager within the Ecosystem group, which is a part of the Environmental Management practice area. Responsibilities will include; effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion, delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel, liaison with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis, coordinate resources, mentor new employees, business development, and budget/profitability management. As project manager you will also be responsible for ensuring that our products are delivered within quality standards. Overtime may be required in order to meet project deadlines. Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management. Excellent opportunity to become a leader in a dynamic, multifaceted organization! Qualifications: Qualified applicants should possess the following: Bachelor's Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or other related studies, a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience. Project management skills including the development of budgets and schedules, experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and strong written and oral communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills. Knowledge of and experience in wetlands delineation, Rosgen's methods for natural channel classification and design, 404 and 401 permitting, and various habitat evaluation methods. Experience working with various federal and state agencies, such as USACE, OEPA, ODOT and ODNR. |
