Job Description:    Overview:

Our Environmental Management group is dedicated to managing environmental issues professionally and proactively. Our staff of professionals includes specialists in marine biology, wetland science, wildlife biology, soil science, fisheries biology, botany, hydrogeology, hydrology, forestry, habitat and ecosystem restoration, permitting, GIS, and Information Management. We help our clients to identify and respond to opportunities and threats within constantly changing regulatory and corporate environments, through active engagement with the public, stakeholder groups, and governmental regulators. Our team members have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects that may include endangered species assessments, habitat restoration, wetland characterizations, and water resources management. We are seeking exceptionally talented and enthusiastic individuals with a keen interest in the natural sciences to join our team and advance their career.

 



Responsibilities:

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple projects as well as be expected to provide their expertise at a utilized goal.

 

In addition to performing field tasks, their day-to-day work also includes: marketing to potential clients; defining the scope of work and cost estimate for a client; delegating work tasks and schedules to other team members; monitoring project status and work results; preparing and monitoring project budgets and expenses; approving draft invoices; monitoring work quality; and managing client relations.

 

This position is a future need for Stantec , we  will be reviewing resumes and hopefully be contacting qualified candidates the in the month of February.



Qualifications:

Significant travel, including extended overnight travel, is expected for this position. Field locations may include sites requiring OSHA Hazwoper training.

 

A Bachelor's degree in biology, wildlife, or a related natural science is required, with a preference for a Master's degree specializing in natural resource management or biology.

 

A minimum of 5 years FERC project management experience and budget responsibilities is required; more than 10 years project management experience including budgets, federal projects, client relations, and marketing is desired.
