| Job Description: | The Shop Supervisor is responsible for directing and managing repair/service operations for wind turbine gearboxes, and under general direction of Site Manager. In this position, the Supervisor will carry out broad assignments and objectives with full accountability for results in terms of costs, methods, quality and delivery performance in addition to setting the standards of performance and regulating interdepartmental flow of work. Analyzing problems and taking corrective actions will be an important function of this position. To qualify you must possess experience with Wind Turbine Gearbox Technology (such as G.E., Siemans, Micon, Vesta, etc.) and experience with gear assembly, grinding, repair and inspection. Experience with equipment machining, repair and rigging practices and machine shop tooling and equipment. Experience in spin testing and/or load testing practices for gearboxes. Demonstrated experience / capability in leading teams to accomplish gearbox overhaul and repairs.
