Position Overview:

INVISTA's Performance Surfaces & Materials Business is currently seeking an experienced candidate for the position of GLOBAL Sustainability Director. This position will be based in our Kennesaw, GA office.

Responsibilities:

* Lead GLOBAL sustainability strategy for INVISTA PS&M and identify value creation opportunities through environmental initiatives. Assist PS&M businesses in the development of winning marketing strategies, plans and programs to create value, increase brand preference and profitability, and gain competitive advantage.
* Provide consultation, strategic, functional and marketing support as environmental leader and subject matter expert to PS&M businesses around the world. Ensure that the INVISTA PS&M sustainability strategy, position and objectives are thoroughly communicated throughout the organization and that there is a clear understanding of these objectives and everyone's role in achieving them.
* Evaluate, manage and maintain environmental certifications for PS&M brands. Manage and lead life cycle inventory and assessment initiatives as they relate to PS&M product life cycles. Function as key metrics resource for PS&M related LCA data internally and externally. Act as liaison and resource to PS&M relevant environmental standards and certifications and actively participate in their development.

Qualifications:

* High integrity and a passion for sustainability and compliance.
* Experience in marketing, developing and implementing business plans.
* Strong knowledge of environmental standards, preferably in the building and textile industry (LEED, CHPS, NSF-140, Cradle2cradle, etc.).
* Several years experience in working in an environmental or stewardship role, managing corporate environmental programs, preferably in interiors, textile or chemical industry.
* Applied knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment and environmental supply chain evaluation.
* Familiarity with environmental legislation, regulation, and guidance.
* Proven experience in managing corporate environmental programs and initiatives.
* Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
* Innovative and resourceful.
* The ability to work well with people from a broad range of businesses from CEOs down through the entire organization.

Education:

4-year college degree required. MBA a plus.
