The incumbent of this position serves as a Project Manager in the Buildings and Efficiency Technologies Division, Office of the Project Management Center. The incumbent provides administrative and managerial expertise in support of a variety of deployment projects and/or subprojects or studies that address building technologies. The Building Technologies (BT) deployment program areas include:
Building America (http://www.eere.energy.gov/buildings/building_america); Building Energy Codes (http://www.energycodes.gov/); Energy Smart Schools (http://www.energysmartschools.gov); Energy Smart Hospitals (http://www.energysmarthospitals.gov); and Builders Challenge (http://www1.eere.energy.gov/buildings/challenge/)
KEY REQUIREMENTS: * U.S. Citizenship The incumbent will be responsible for preparing solicitations; developing scope, tasks, and required deliverables; and analyzing and evaluating technical and cost proposals. The incumbent will work as the technical member of a project management team whose members may consist of legal, procurement, and environmental specialists. The incumbent advises program stakeholders concerning technical considerations. The incumbent determines project risks and issue impacts; monitors project performance; determines the significance of project results, costs, and scheduling adherence; reports findings and recommendations; and participates in project close out. Conducts and participates in workshops and training to address major project implementation issues and opportunities. The incumbent will incorporate priorities and programmatic objectives/goals/targets into periodic evaluations and provide assessments on effectiveness of the technology delivery process, project implementation strategy, and cost-effectiveness.
