Job Description: 

groSolar a National Leader in Solar with office locations throughout the US, seeks a Lead Installer to join our Residential Installation Team in our Jessup, Maryland location. The successful candidate will require the ability to supervise an installation crew and all other aspects of the PV and SDHW systems installation, inclusive of an emphasis on safety, quality assurance and efficiency.
Duties: • Oversee the installation of residential and commercial PV and SDHW systems and assure that they conform to existing national and local building codes.
• Successfully plan, schedule and execute the installation of projects in daily/weekly pipeline and maintain the proper company documents for each project including photographs, "as built" information, and related documents.
• Demonstrate knowledge of OSHA standards, company safety programs and policies relative to the installation of these systems and enforce safety standards with all personnel under your supervision.
• Responsible for interpreting PV and SDHW line drawings, product literature and reference NEC codes and regulations. The lead installer will be responsible for a code compliant and operational system.
• Assist the RPM in developing a crew installation schedule, implement the schedule with minimal supervision, and confirm the availability of material to maintain the schedule.
• Represents groSolar as a field contact for the customer, interacts with the customer with integrity, always displaying a professional appearance and attitude.
• Participate in both formal and "in the field" training processes to advance crew members within the company
Qualifications: • Knowledge of basic Residential Electrical Systems
• Knowledge of basic Residential Plumbing Systems
• Knowledge of Residential and Commercial building systems
• Knowledge of Residential and Commercial roofing Systems
• Basic Blueprint/Schematic Reading
• Basic Computer Skills
• Knowledge of OSHA Construction Safety Requirements
• Working knowledge of the PV and SDHW components that grosolar supplies
• NABCEP certification desired
• In-state plumbing or electrical license or enrollment in a state licensing program is preferred
• In-state construction supervisor's license is preferred where applicable

Educational/Experience Required:
• High school diploma
• Safety Training (OSHA 10-Hour Course recommended)
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience and/or demonstrated leadership skills in the field
