Job Description: 

LightWave Solar Electric LLC, the leading Photovoltaic electric installer in Nashville, Tennessee area, is seeking an Operations Manager who is a collaborative and strategic thinker whose skills will contribute to the efficiency of the company's operations. We are a small and rapidly growing company looking for quality people to help us grow.
The operations manager is responsible for the operational success of the company. This includes all aspects of the installation: project management, permitting, service and construction management. The operations manager must:
-
Provide oversight and coordination of LightWave Solar Electric's day-to-day operations.
-
Manage residential and commercial PV installations projects.
-
Work with estimator and sales staff to review takeoff and design in handover meetings.
-
Evaluate & manage project resources including material, equipment and installation crews.
-
Work in a supervisory and foreman role as required.
-
Work with field crew to ensure efficient and high-quality installations.
-
Manage relations with customers, inspectors, design team, utilities and contractors.
-
Manage safety program.
The ideal candidate is an individual who is:
-
Familiar with solar photovoltaic technology for the residential and commercial market.
-
Highly motivated to work in a team-oriented work environment.
-
Able to motivate, mentor and guide crews.
-
Able to take on diverse tasks ranging from project management to hands-on installation.
-
Passionate about solar technology.
-
Interested in a long-term career in the solar industry.
Position requires:
-
Minimum of 5 years electrical construction experience.
-
Knowledge of the NEC.
-
Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
-
High-level organizational skills & ability to multi-task and set priorities.
-
Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management/work style. Ability to work well with others is of paramount importance.
-
Ability to delegate responsibilities effectively.
-
Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, & Outlook. Experience with estimating programs is a plus but not required.
