AEA is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit training and technical services organization that represents and provides services to a diverse network of community-based organizations that are local subgrantees of New York State’s Weatherization Assistance Program administered by the NY State Division of Housing & Community Renewal (DHCR). With the support of US Department of Energy funds through DHCR, AEA is a Weatherization Training Center and Technical Services Provider for the NYS Weatherization Program (WAP). AEA is also an Affiliate of the Building Performance Institute (BPI), providing both training courses leading to BPI certification and proctoring services for BPI written and field exams. The AEA Energy Management Training Center in the Bronx is also a NYSERDA recognized Learning Center of the Workforce Development Institute of Hudson Valley Community College. AEA’s Bronx Weatherization Department provides direct weatherization services to income eligible residential properties in the South Bronx, and, through its Home Performance Group, AEA is a BPI Accredited Home Performance Contractor providing direct energy services under NYSERDA's Home Performance with Energy Star Program. |
