Stantec’s San Francisco Architecture & Interior Design group is renowned for creating high-performance, fiscally responsible and award-winning buildings and interiors. We seek to create projects that are timeless, intelligent, and sustainable.

 

Our design services include architecture, building engineering, interior design, and planning for Academic, Corporate, and Healthcare clients throughout the Western U.S. and beyond. Cross-discipline collaboration is a key aspect to our design team thinking.  It informs the thinking of all our staff; principals, managers, architects, engineers, designers and technologists alike. We create solutions that are innovative because they are integrated.  Our Architects and Engineers work together, learn from each other and it makes us better designers of the built environment, every single day.

 

Currently, we have an immediate need for a Project Architect or Senior Interior Architect to join our team in San Francisco.  With a back log of current clients that reward innovation, the work ahead promises to be exciting and creative.  The opportunity is full-time and long-term, so those seeking to consult or work part-time need not apply.     



Responsibilities:

While we all have unique talents and quirks that frequently contribute to the success of a project, at a minimum, we are looking for a candidate that can perform the following fundamental tasks:

  • Under the direction of the Project Manager, the candidate must be able to work in support of an integrated project delivery process while effectively leading an Architecture & Interior Design team in all aspects of design and production. 
  • During all phases of project development, the candidate must be able to understand and clearly communicate client expectations, design direction, project performance criteria and project protocols to internal and external team members.
  • The candidate should be clearly capable of growing and strengthening both client and professional relationships during the project development process and beyond. 
  • The candidate will be required to demonstrate structured thinking in the use of BIM for project development and delivery.  He/She must have recent, project-tested experience using the Revit BIM platform during the design and documentation of either permitted and/or constructed work. 
  • The candidate also must be capable in the use Revit BIM software (version 9.0 or later) for the production of design and construction documents. 

Please note: Candidates trained in Revit (Version 9.0 or later), but without applicable project-tested experience using this software are welcome and encouraged to submit resumes for future consideration, but at this time we cannot consider you for this position.



Qualifications:

California architectural license preferred, but not required. The desired candidate should be a graduate of an architecture or similar design school with a minimum of ten (10) years relevant professional experience.

 

Compensation:

Salary will be commensurate with a candidate’s skill level and experience.  Stantec Architecture provides a complete benefits package (Healthcare, Dental, Vision, 401K, Flex-Spending, etc.) to all FT employees upon hire.
