Job Description: 

CDM is looking to hire a Regulatory Compliance Auditor to lead environmental, health and safety compliance audits at facilities throughout the United States.

Job responsibilities include:
• Lead environmental, health and safety (EHS) compliance audits at client facilities and evaluate compliance with federal, state and local environmental laws, regulations and permits.
• Evaluate compliance by reviewing operating activities, permits, plans, and associated documentation.
• Determine the adequacy of internal controls and compliance with the company's policies and procedures.
• Effectively use checklists, guidelines and training provided to perform above activities.
• Develop and maintain effective communication and rapport to gain cooperation with the audited company's personnel and to build internal relationships.
• Develop audit reports that document work performed and conclusions reached.
• Provide assistance to senior auditors, and supervisors, as requested.
• Present findings and recommendations to Management during, and at the conclusion of each audit.
• Keep current on federal, state and local compliance requirements and work with the senior and mid-level auditors to keep checklists and other auditing tools up to date.
• Perform all assigned tasks in a safe manner; maintain compliance with safety requirements visited at each site.
• Use proper personal protective equipment as appropriate.

Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental management, industrial hygiene, safety or related major.
• 5+ years or regulatory compliance auditing experience and knowledge of environmental regulations are preferred.
• Board of Environmental, Health & Safety Auditor Certifications (BEAC) certification, or ability to become certified w/in 6 months is a requirement.
• Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
• Must have MS Word and MS Excel experience/knowledge.
• Must possess strong organizational skills and exhibit great attention to detail.
• Must have strong reading and interpretation skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Substantial travel to facilities throughout the United States.
• Position will be based out of Cambridge, MA, or Falls Church, VA.
